The Admire PR Manifesto – 2022 edition

As we look into the new year, I like to reflect on the past year and set out my thoughts for the upcoming one. In our brand new manifesto, I want to lay out Admire PR’s vision, mission and values that will guide us into 2022.

My ‘why’

Admire was established after I became disillusioned by working as a consultant in bigger agencies. I felt there was no real value placed on customer equality, and few seemed to operate with transparency and honesty. Henceforth, Admire was created, a direct result of my dream for change. PR as an industry has a bad reputation – I find that amusing considering we are in the business of building positive reputations!

At Admire PR, we always go the extra mile to do our best to delight our clients. We want to get them the recognition and publicity they deserve. Creating tangible business results remains an integral part of any marketing function. As a small team, our clients mean the world to us. They are our beacon of light.

One of my favourite quotes is from Fanocracy.

“Build a playground that people want to play on. Then go let them play.”

This applies to my team and my clients. To me, this is the essence of our business at Admire PR.

It is important to recognise the differences between vision, values and mission, in order to recognise our purpose and progression.

Vision- An idea or mental image of something

Values- The principles that help you decide what is right and wrong, and how to act in various situations

Mission- Any work that someone believes it is their duty to do.

“Curiosity is the spark behind every great idea. The future belongs to the curious.”

The Admire PR manifesto

Our vision – To be the UK’s most effective PR Agency.

Our values – To be curious, always learn and open to new ideas. We always aim to be thoughtful and carry out campaigns with concise and deliberate action. To be tenacious, never taking no for an answer.

Our mission – To provide consistent and effective promotion and excellent reputation management for our clients. We do this through thoughtful PR campaigns that are transparently priced. Our aim is always to set clear targets and produce well measured results.

Why do we need a vision and mission?

It has never been more important to have a sense of vision and strong mission. In the current world climate, there is so much unpredictability, so it is important to retain what is important to you.

They help us make decisions

Values guide decision-making, and they act as an extension of your core beliefs. We don’t decide to “pick” our values, but rather they come from within our inner self. Having a personal moral compass is what makes us unique, with our values becoming a significant part of our identity. At Admire PR, our values are a massive part of our identity. We live by them, and we preach them in all aspects of our work.

They give us purpose

When we trust our own values, we will always have a purpose. The world has experienced so much strain, especially in the past two years, but by looking at our values, we will always have direction. Regardless of what is happening around us, you always need to run a campaign that aligns with your customer base and culture. It can be easy to be tempted to undertake another direction, but these campaigns can be of more detriment than good. In many ways, Admire PR’s values act as a beacon of light, shining the way for the company’s progression and direction. In turn, reflecting onto each client’s work.

They help us lead our teams

When you look at your purpose as a collective team, you begin to realise what is important to you. At Admire PR, we always want to encourage and uplift. Our team is made up of talented people from all backgrounds, who share a passion for writing. We realise the importance of encouragement, and this is a sentiment applied to our customers. We always prioritise praise.

When we have our values, a strong purpose and mission will always follow. At Admire, our purpose stems from my past experiences and the desire that everyone deserves equality and amazing end results.
